OS X El Capitan Preview

OS X El Capitan feels like a modest update after last year's Yosemite release. Which brought in a complete redesign of OS X and a much better integration with IOS. If you enjoyed what Yosemite had to offer, you'll appreciate the small adjustments made. 

PROS
  • Generally faster performance 
  • Split-screen multitasking
  • Transit directions in Maps
  • Safari gets pinned tabs and an easy way to mute noisy tabs
  • Useful tweaks to other built-in apps, like Mail and Notes
CONS
  • The addition of built-in transit directions means HopStop is shutting down
  • Not as feature-rich an update as other OS X releases

iPhone 6s Concise Review

The iPhone 6s keeps the same design as the iPhone 6, but has better cameras, a quicker processor and 3D Touch. Which is a smart new way to get things done in fewer steps. Beyond that, the combination of iOS 9 and some well-built hardware help makes the 6s one of the best iPhones ever made. Overall this phone is a good upgrade from the already great iPhone 6. If you want a more in depth review I will be making one soon. 




PROS

  • First-rate performance
  • Improved cameras
  • Touch ID is faster and more accurate
CONS
  • Lacks optical image stabilization
  • Live Photos are hit-or-miss
  • Base model still only has 16GB of storage
  • Touch ID can be overly sensitive

GoPro Hero+ LCD

GoPro Hero+ LCD:



Is a the first GoPro with a built in LCD touch screen. You no longer have to look through the GoPro app. Which means faster set up and easier play back as well as easier view of the different menus. The camera comes with a couple different backs, the default one does not allow for use of the touch screen but instead is more durable and has the ability to go pretty deep underwater. This gives you the ability to go deeper than you normally swim. The GoPro Hero+ LCD also has the ability to shoot 8 mega-pixel stills, and take 1080p in 60 fps.

Sonos Play:5 Review

I got the Sonos Play:5 around one year ago. This speaker is a wifi based speaker that can also plugged into via aux chord. This speaker has AMAZING sound quality and has the ability to be so loud it damages your ear drums. I currently have this speaker set up in my basement and at full volume you can hear it two floors up.

The speaker software is one of the amazing parts of the speaker. The basic user interface allows you to play music that you have on your phone, in the library you set up or other music services--like Soundcloud and Spotify. With in the software you also have the ability to set up groups so that if you have more than one Sonos speaker you can connect them and play simultaneously. Another amazing feature of this speaker is you can play around with the bass and such.



Overall this speaker is amazing and by far one of the best qualities. If you have $500 I definitely would recommend getting one. They are well the cost.

JBL pulse by Harman

My parents got me the JBL pulse bluetooth speaker about two years ago for my birthday. The first thing about it that got my attention was the amazing packaging. It has this nice feeling on your hands, and is very well padded, which will keep your expensive speaker safe. Without lights on the speaker should run for around 10 hours and with lights on around 5

The JBL Pulse, is an excellent quality speaker. The sound quality is amazing. The sound can get distorted if you have a lot of bass heavy music. Everything sounds balanced. Plus for the size it is quite loud. 

On top of the loud and compactness of the speaker. It offers a built in light show with many different options like patterns and colors.  

The speaker might not sound like it can compete with some of the other high end brands but the lights add that extra flashiness to your music experience.
